Dr George Nicos Loucaides is a registered Clinical Dietitian and Nutritionist since 1989. He had his education in RGU Aberdeen, Royal Free Hospital London and Lipidomics and Nutrition Research Centre London Metropolitan University.
He runs his private dietetic practice. As a Clinical Dietitian he worked at Ygea Polyniclinic Limassol, The Princess Mary Hospital, Akrotiri and now with The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics. He started as secondary school teacher and then moved to higher education, teaching dietetics to nurses at the European University for 3 years. At present, he is teaching Nutrition and Dietetics for beauty therapy courses at Cyprus College and KES College. He also teaches courses for Dietitians at the University of Nicosia.
George Loucaides was a co-founder of the nutrition consulting company ‘Nutrition Consultant GRD’, and of the weight reducing group therapy company, ‘Weight Busters’. Since 1999, along with Dr Marios Pantzaris and Dr. Ioannis Patrikios, he started working on the effects of polyunsaturated fatty acids on Multiple Sclerosis. This topic is also the subject of George’s PhD thesis. He is one of the three co-founder of PALUPA Medical.
